WHAT IS INNER SUPPORT?
Let's define the concept and do a special exercise at the end!
Inner strength refers to a deep, unstoppable belief in oneself. This does not depend on the actions of others, nor does it depend on the circumstances you find yourself in. The majority of people are aware that finding inner strength is likely to benefit relationships and feelings of overall well-being. Many others have a vague idea of inner strength but have been unable to pinpoint its precise meaning.
So what is inner support really, and how does one get about developing more of it?
It is our mental and emotional resources (behaviors, skills and attitudes) that keep us stable and adaptable in life.
Inner support is something that a person can lean on, something that will give strength to create, to live, something that will help them to be confident. In a deeper sense, it refers to the willingness to acknowledge and understand one's feelings, to live them, to find resources within.
And we'll start with this... Think about it: what's the difference between internal and external support?
Here's a hint... The definitions are revealed by the complementary epithet to the word...
External supports are those things that support the person in external reality, from the outside. For example, a partner, parents or friends.
A person's inner support is comprised of the following factors: knowledge of the world around them, the strength of their minds, their abilities and resources, useful skills, and helpful character traits.
There are definitions! Great! Now think about it: why would a person cultivate internal supports in the presence of external ones? Write in the comments, and I'll answer in the article.
1. First, because any of us, as an adult, an independent person, is responsible for ourselves and should be able to cope - to be able to deal with our difficulties.
2.Second, because external supports are not insured by anyone and in certain circumstances can let us down; therefore, internal ones are more reliable.
So how do you know that you lack internal support?
You often doubt your decisions, you try to be like others, largely guided by their opinions, you find it difficult to say "No", you don't really understand your feelings, you strive for the ideal. All of this can be an indication of a weak inner core.
Our inner core is built on our values, our deepest meanings - it's what you feel inside that feels right. But not because someone said so, but because you came to it yourself. Every action we take can have meaning.
It's worthwhile to address it by asking: "Who am I? What am I doing? Why am I doing this now? For what?".
Consider getting caught up into trouble situations and having no one but yourself around to get you through. You’ll need to build these 6 strategies which will leverage your internal support mechanism and help you deal with difficult situations better.
1. Look for positivity in all situations
Whenever things don't go as planned (which is inevitable), look for the silver lining. No matter what, there is always something to learn from, and it can often be a necessary stepping-stone to what comes next. Setbacks are inevitable, so learn to be prepared to handle them with positivity.
2. Be forgiving
We being human are imperfect by nature and there are chances that we make or take unlikely choices, after which we curse ourselves and sometimes it remains with us as regrets for a very long time, So you have to forgive yourself for the mistake and accept the fact that nobody is even perfect.
We all grow with time and experience. Be ready to embrace set backs and failures and welcome criticism with open arms.
3. Be grateful.
For some this may be more difficult than for others, but it can always be worse. If you are alive, breathing and walking there are already three things to be grateful for. Especially when things seem to go wrong, focus daily on the positive. Be grateful for being.
4. Be in the now
We all desire some sort of control over our lives. We are intelligent, self-aware creatures. It's natural to want a say in your experience. However, it’s easy to constantly think about what you wish was happening, instead of what’s actually happening. Be present in your environment and resist feelings of resentment. You can move forward one day at a time by practicing acceptance.
5. Find healthy ways to rejuvenate
Life is full of pressure and stress. And we all have our own struggles and missteps. When faced with a stressful situation, you can develop a healthy and effective coping strategy that will calm your nerves.
Meditation, exercise and painting are all ways one can use to fuel their energy levels. Find what works for you and make it more than a hobby. Implement it in your daily life.
6. Focus on the bigger picture
Focus on the big picture; it’s easy for it to fade into the background and chaos of life. Knowing how important the situation is and the impact it will bring to your life, it is critical to build a support mechanism.
Prepare yourself for the steps it will take to reach this goal and realize that every rough day does not signal the end of your world. Without setbacks and challenges, true success cannot be found.
Be aware that your future is determined by your present.
Therefore, let us test and take into account this significant knowledge in our psychological life. Let's do this right now in the format of the exercise I propose.
Inner Tree. Manifest. Strengthen. Grow.
1. Take a moment to visualize a strong and healthy tree inside yourself. Its trunk runs through you, upright, with its roots deep in the earth and its crown in the heavenly heights. This tree is your powerfulcrum! Feel its power!
2. Imagine the tree's root - as a possible spiritual memory: it was once a seed and was born with your unique, tiny core. Admire its primordiality. Feel its essential, core properties. Embrace this seed. Bless its possibilities.
3. And in sacred connection with the tree, walk your joint, forceful path. From the point of birth to the present moment at five-year intervals. Here we go...
4. So, your first five years of life. The inner tree grows with you. Think back to your preschool years. What helped you to move forward, to endure?
Did you carry on somehow, overcoming your difficulties and coping?
5. Celebrate your strengths. Give credit for your incipient mental strength.
6. Pause for a moment and pay attention to your nascent tree roots. These are your generic programs - maternal and paternal.
Would you like to take a look at the lineage's power potential? Let's note its presence. And remember. This is what nourishes you, defining possibilities.
7. Now let's move on from age five to age ten.
What aspects of your school socialization helped you grow up?
What new knowledge, skills, and abilities? Gather your support!
8. Moving on - from the age of ten to the age of fifteen. In this period, girls and boys realize their identity, their possibilities, and their perspectives after being born as a child. We make sense of our experiences, we nurture our inner pillars.
9. As we move from the age of fifteen to the age of twenty. In addition, this is another unique and important identity associated with the acquired profession. We recognize our educational, profile pillars. Growing our own tree.
10. And so on, to the point of our present. Recall all that shapes, represents, and creates us; collect personal experiences; expand our meaning.
11. At the moment, admire the powerful tree that has formed. We feel its roots, its trunk, and its branches. We pass on to our branches (alliterally to our children) the indestructible power of the generation. We fill ourselves with its juices.
12. And now let's pour a golden shower of heaven rain on the tree. Cleanse the generic programs, sacred core, and possibilities of a tree. Remember how beautiful you are in God's perfect project.
13. And lastly, envelop yourself in the rays of heaven's source. Fill yourself with acceptance and faith in your creation. Embrace this love.
14. We have watered and warmed our tree with the sun. Take a moment to listen to yourself: how powerful your inner support sounds!
15. And move forward with confidence into your future! Remember, you can do a lot!
Life is full of pressure and stress, but there are healthy ways to rejuvenate. Meditation, exercise and painting are all ways to fuel your energy levels.
Focus on the big picture, prepare yourself for the steps it will take to reach your goal, and realize that every day brings you experience.
And for those who wish to perform this practice with me, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I wish you a successful fulfillment and tangible inner power! You are capable of the highest level!
“The secret of success is learning how to use pain and pleasure instead of having pain and pleasure use you. If you do that, you’re in control of your life. If you don’t, life controls you.”
